Jam Session

by

Did you know?

It is a matter of great speculation how Tom Waits comes up with such clever and abundent ideas to his songs. The truth is that he actually gets it from the world beyond. You see, when Tom Waits starts to ad lib free jazz, and it is the hour of the wolf, and the moon is full and the birds fly low, the souls of dead struggling artists are torn from the pits of hell itself and are forced to ad lib with him before they’re allowed to return to their eternal rest. This unholy jam session takes all night and it is from this horrific memory of inhumane rituals, into which he awakes a few days later, that he draws his inspiration for his albums.
